35th Anniversary Young Texas Artists To Join Forces For Charity
Charity Classic & Fun Day, Saturday, Sept. 29
CONROE, TEXAS – July 18, 2018 – Two of Montgomery County’s most dynamic organizations are partnering for an especially exciting April Sound Charity Classic, a day of family fun and fundraising, set for Saturday, Sept. 29, at April Sound Country Club.
April Sound Country Club, a member of the national ClubCorp Family, is observing 11 years of giving back to the community through its annual ClubCorp Charity Classic, and Young Texas Artists (YTA), a Conroe-based nonprofit, is observing 35 years of helping advance careers of young classical musicians in Texas. Together they will celebrate and support the new, multifaceted 2018 April Sound Charity Classic & Fun Day. “We are so excited to welcome YTA as a participant in this much-anticipated event,” said Abbe North, member relations coordinator with April Sound.
“It is truly gratifying to join April Sound in making a difference in the lives of those who are in need,” said Susie Pokorski, YTA president. “We are happy to be part of this important fundraiser.”
A full day of activities will be devoted to raising funds for Augie’s Quest, to help win the war against ALS; the Employee Partner Care Foundation, to help ClubCorp employees in times of need; and Young Texas Artists, whose annual music competition continues to help produce many distinguished professional musicians.
Festivities for the Charity Classic & Fun Day include a cook-off, kid’s zone, beer and wine garden, golf tournament, ladies relaxation station, silent auction, Lincoln test drives and, to top it all off, a party on the patio on Saturday evening.
“We are very pleased that Planet Lincoln has stepped up as Presenting Sponsor,” said Mel Bogus, chairman of Charity Classic & Fun Day. Sponsorships are still available, with some levels also including valuable benefits, recognition and regional promotion with the 35th Anniversary Young Texas Artists Music Competition and benefit gala, Bach, Beethoven & Barbecue (March 9, 2019).
